ModMed | ModMed Procure Product Explainer Video
I was tasked with creating a product explainer video for ModMed Procure, a new medical and office supply procurement platform. To make the topic engaging, we developed a character-driven story following 'Jen,' a healthcare professional overwhelmed by the daily task of managing supplies. The video presents her challenges and then introduces ModMed Procure as the all-in-one solution to help her "Procure smarter, not harder."
The video combines live-action footage with clean motion graphics and screen recordings of the platform. I was responsible for designing and animating all graphic elements, including the icon-based feature callouts and UI animations that help simplify and visualize the platform's core capabilities: Search, Compare, Purchase, Manage, and Analyze.
My process began in Figma, where I mapped out the entire narrative through detailed storyboards and style sheets. This was crucial for visualizing the different character perspectives—switching between the patient's mobile phone and the clinical team's desktop dashboard—and for refining the timing of the message-based storytelling.
Figma served as the collaborative workspace for review with the Creative Director and videographers. We were able to fine-tune the script, UI mockups, and the overall pacing in one place, ensuring the story was clear and compelling before moving into production.
Once the storyboard was approved, I moved into Adobe After Effects to animate the piece. I focused heavily on creating authentic-looking UI animations for both the phone and desktop environments, using kinetic typography to build a natural rhythm for the conversations. The final, fast-paced montage was carefully choreographed to the music to maximize energy and create a powerful walk-on moment for the presenters.
